Using Literature to Reform Character: Little Women

Literature deals with the inward man. It is useful in exposing and correcting qualities of character and the manners and habits of youth. This presentation will demonstrate how a classic work of literature, Little Women, can be used to delineate a transformation in character: how four little women, "overcome their 'burdens' of disposition." Steps for teaching a work of literature, including author study and literary elements, will also be presented.
