Booker T. Washington was a significant educator and became one of the most influential Americans of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This seminar will be focused upon his autobiography, Up from Slavery. Emphasis will be placed upon (1) his Christian history, (2) Christians who influenced his life, (3) his Christian character, and most important, (4) the principles which gave guidance to his successful ministry in education.
