For such a time as this
Knowing that God arranges the affairs of men and nations, we can place our confidence in His Word, His power, and His plan for the times in which we live.
How do we come to this understanding? We search the Scriptures and see accounts of God working, we consider our nation’s history, we consider our own family and personal history. When we reflect over time, we can join Jehoshaphat in saying:
“O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand you? Are you not our God….” II Chronicles 20:6-7
