He grew up<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> in the simple home of His earthly father, the carpenter Joseph. We know little <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">about Jesus as a boy. We do know that he was perfect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;His work on earth began when he was about thirty years of age. Jesus walked the<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> roads of Israel.\u00a0 He traveled fro city to city. He taught the people and performed <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">many miracles. Jesus taught that He was the Son of God. He taught that He had come <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">to bring life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;Many people followed Jesus from place to place to hear Him teach. But Jesus did <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> not come to earth just to teach the people. God sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">earth to die for our sins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;As people believed in Jesus as their Saviour, their hearts were changed. They loved <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">a living God rather than idols. They began to love the things of God, rather than <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">the things of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;As people believed that Jesus was the Son of God, their lives were changed. They <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">began to love their neighbors. Others could not understand them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;During the early years after Jesus&#8217; ministry, His followers began to be called <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Christians.\u00a0 There were some who said that the Christians &#8216;turned the world upside <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">down.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">also;&#8221; Acts 17:6<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;Christians knew that they could be governed in their hearts. They could be controlled <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">and directed by God.\u00a0 This is Christian self government.&#8221;1<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8220;All of history reflects Christ and Christianity. History reveals that liberty for<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\">the individual is the result of Christ&#8217;s work upon this earth: His death, burial,<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\">resurrection and ascention into heaven as the Son of God.\u00a0 Liberty first comes to<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\">the individual internally.
