\u201cWe hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain <\/strong><\/i>unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.\u00a0 That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. . .” Declaration of Independence<\/strong><\/p>\n This year marks 241 years since our Founding Fathers gave us our National Birth Certificate.\u00a0 The United States is the longest on-going <\/span><\/b>Constitutional<\/b> Republic in the history of the world. <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n \u201cA Republic If You Can Keep It!\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 Benjamin Franklin<\/p>\n \u201cBlessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, . . .\u201d<\/b>\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0Psalm 33:12<\/strong><\/p>\n “Can it be, that Providence has not connected the permanent felicity of a Nation with its virtue?\u00a0 The experiment, at least, is recommended by every sentiment which ennobles human Nature.”<\/strong> –George Washington<\/strong><\/p>\n “A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” Samuel Adams (Letter to James Warren, 12 February 1779)<\/strong><\/p>\n “The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue; and if this cannot be inspired into our people in a greater measure than they have it now, they may change their rulers and the forms of government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”<\/strong><\/i> John Quincy Adams<\/strong><\/p>\n “Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure…are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments.”\u00a0Charles Carroll, signer of the Declaration of Independence<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n FOUR VIEWS OF GOD<\/span> IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE:<\/b><\/p>\n 1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LAWS OF NATURE AND OF NATURE\u2019S GOD\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n Nature: \u201ca word that comprehends all the WORKS OF GOD<\/i><\/b>\u201d (Webster\u2019s 1828 <\/i>American Dictionary) inclusive of natural creation and man: Gen. 1:1; Eph. 2:10;\u00a0 Romans 2:14 <\/b><\/p>\n 2.<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR<\/span> WITH CERTAIN UNALIENABLE RIGHTS<\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Biblical basis for the CREATOR GOD: Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:7; I Peter 4:19<\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Of the 200 references to the judgment of God, consider Psa. 67:4; Isa. 33: 22; II Tim. 4:1, 8 <\/b><\/p>\n 4.<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u201cDIVINE PROVIDENCE<\/span>\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n Of over 1,200 references to God\u2019s Providence in the Bible, consider Deut. 8:18; Psa. 23; Psa. 40:5; Romans 8:28<\/b><\/p>\n FIVE VIEWS OF MAN<\/span> IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE:<\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 Equal under God\u2019s Law<\/span>:\u00a0 Romans 3:23; and Love\u2019s \u201cEQUAL OPPORTUNITY\u201d:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 John 3:16 <\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b>2.<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>(ALL MEN) ARE ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR (not civil gov.)
